Program Aim

We all want the best for our children, for them to live long, healthy and happy lives. As parents, one of the best skills we can teach our children is how to manage their feelings and responses to the stressors and busyness of everyday life. Our children learn a lot about life in the home, by observing and listening. And a calm home life can have a positive effect on the mental health of our children. Sahaja Yoga meditation brings the mind to present moment and therefore removes unwanted thoughts bringing focus, attention and joyfulness. Meditation is a great way to spend quality time together.

Children are the best candidate for meditation because they are simple, joyful, spontaneous and in the present. Children are losing all these qualities with the pressure from the modern society and demands, and they need some time to just close eyes, sit relax, concentrate within and get recharge as much as adults.

As an example, one of the most common childhood disorder is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), symptoms include difficulty staying focused and over-activity. Sahaja Yoga Meditation helped children to overcome ADHD without medication.

Program Facilitators

Facilitators are themselves parents with family practising meditation for over 10 years, which will provide family atmosphere during classes. Facilitators have been driven by the positive changes in own and their children lives, to pass the gift to others as social responsibility.

Benefits to You and Your Children

Parents who wish to teach their children about meditation often wonder what the ideal age to begin the process is. Basically, there is no best age to start meditation. In fact, the earlier, the better. It is believed that if meditation is introduced in the early stages of a child’s development, meditation can have far-reaching benefits than when adopted in adulthood. If children start meditating early, their brains and intellectual capacity tend to develop rapidly. They also stand to benefitemotionally, psychologicallyandphysically. Benefits of meditation are no secret and most of doctors are recommending meditation.
